欢迎,你好!Sweet Chili is where I want to talk about art, photography, fashion, family, food, culture, traveling and other significant little things in my life. Any use of the pictures in the blog is welcome, as long as I'm aware of it and there's a clear reference to my site. 如需使用博客中的图文,只要标明来源到这里,我都非常欢迎!

I use English because I'm lazy, and this is a blog based on my other account with Blogger, link: www.sweetchilifashion.com.

By the last evening of our glamping experience, I felt absolutely adapted. Watching over fire, checking up on food supply and freshness, hottubing in the woods, and topping up the water level...I felt I could absolutely live as a full-time glamper!

And also by this time, fashion kind of started to take a lower priority even in a "fashion blogger"'s list. That's why bringing clothes and accessories which can go with each other in all possible ways.

I put on the dress I'd worn on the first day over the breton top I'd had on on the second day, and with the help of a printed silk scarf, everything looked a bit more put together. And when the evening cold air dropped around us, I layered the blanket cape on top on the reversing side. (So another reminder of why a blanket is always a good idea when going,well,out... generally)

The outfit consisted of:

And, just before I was thinking to end this blog post, I suddenly realised that this was supposed to be about a recipe! So, here you go, Glamping Style Chicken Thigh Paella.

Ingredients:

1 big onion

2 cloves of garlic

2-3 potatoes/8-9 baby potatoes

10-15 cherry tomatoes

2 whole chicken legs with bones

200g chorizo

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp thyme

300g paella rice

2 glasses of white wine

1 tbsp olive oil

750ml water/stock

Method: Basically, it's a very relaxed dish. After chopping everything roughly into reasonable sizes which would fit your own mouth, first add oil into a hot paella pan, and throw into onions. Fry until soften and golden a little, and in with the potatoes, chorizo, and tomatoes. Fry until a good mixture of smell comes out of everything, add the herbs, stir regularly, and in go the chicken legs.

Add rice, wine, and enough water/stock to cover all the ingredients. Stir the bottom bit to make sure nothing is sticking to the bottom of the pan. After the liquid starts to boil, turn down the heat to a medium heat, and leave to cook for about 20 minutes.

Watch it cook, and stir occasionally, make sure nothing is burning at the bottom, and also everything is cooking evenly. Pour some wine, and set the table while waiting for the paella. Make some side salad if you wish, add some frozen peas in the end if you weren't camping without a freezer...

And there you have it, the camping-evening-perfect, heart warming, easy yet delicious crowd pleaser. You can season to taste with salt after it's on the table. I'd add a drizzle of soy sauce too, simply because it goes with everything.

Happy cooking! No matter on a glamping site or at home:)
