欢迎,你好!Sweet Chili is where I want to talk about art, photography, fashion, family, food, culture, traveling and other significant little things in my life. Any use of the pictures in the blog is welcome, as long as I'm aware of it and there's a clear reference to my site. 如需使用博客中的图文,只要标明来源到这里,我都非常欢迎!

I use English because I'm lazy, and this is a blog based on my other account with Blogger, link: www.sweetchilifashion.com.

Even though the three week holiday seemed to me like I had been travelling forever, the last day in Nice still felt like a bit of a panic for us trying to think of a way to make the best of it.

So we divided the day in halves. The first for the man to cruise around town savouring every moment left with his 65 Ford Mustang rented through rentaclassiccar.com . And we basically drove all the way to... Monaco(you guessed it). He suggested going a just a little further to Italy as well? I kindly declined the offer.

Back in Nice, we spent majority of the afternoon(my half) lying on the beach, having watermelon while getting a foot massage. But then it was time to get our asses up to do some vintage shopping.

Chalou on Rue de la Buffa is this unassuming vintage galore all under one roof. Tucked away on a street where you'd never designate for a shopping spree, but if you're a vintage clothing/jewellery/home decor lover, this is a place you could easily spend hours(/hundreds) in. I was first attracted by a beautiful, flowy, baby pink silk summer dress in the window display, and as I went in, even more styles and labels waved their hands at me. The shop owner Mimi, an elegantly hippie(and it's possible) french lady only selects unique pieces that are in excellent conditions. I must have tried about no less than 10 garments, and finally bagged about half of them(not that I didn't want them all), including the dress which drew me into the shop in the first place(and you'll see it very soon in a coming article).

As I took my time looking and snapping around her shop, Mimi came out with a stunning piece of coat and insisted me trying it on just for the sake of being able to "wear a piece of fashion history"(in her very words). It was the most elegant and chic coat from Schiaparelli, greatest rival of Coco Chanel. It wasn't in my size, and I was fresh faced with a pair a Nike trainers on, but I was so happy to just put it on. And Mimi wasn't trying to push a sale either, she was purely sharing her love of fashion and her little shop, with a customer.  It's the shop like this, with a taste, and a friendly soul, that I will keep going back to.

So...ready for London again?
